In March 2020, I stopped watching the news and started building a simulation.
The most striking finding: early, aggressive contact reduction in the first 30 days had a disproportionate impact on peak case load — far more than the same reduction two weeks later. The curve is exponential. Timing is everything.
This is the value of simulation: you can ask "what if" at speed and scale that reality does not permit.
